Regularities and trends in development of small and medium enterprises in the period of 2010 to 2012

The paper presents main indices of performance for small and medium enterprises for the period from 2010 to 2012 year. A comparative analysis is given for a number of small and medium enterprises’ performance including such indices as the number of enterprises, their  output, number of employees, fixed capital investment.  Results of the differential analysis of these indices are provided by regions of the Russian Federation. The analysis is based on the economic andmathematical models developed in the research. Average values of indices and deviations from them that are common forthe regions of the country are examined.
