π-Economy is an open-access journal that covers a wide array of subjects in economics, business, finances and mathematical methods in economics.

Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University hosts scientific schools “Economics and Management of Innovation Processes” and “Economics and Quality Management”. They are headed by the members of the Editorial Board ensuring high quality peer review.
The aim of the journal consists in providing a scientific and communication platform for a discussion in a wide circle of Russian and foreign specialists, as well as presenting new academic research results.
The tasks of the journal include:
- maintaining high academic level of the journal, publication of high quality research and review papers;
- reporting new research findings to the scientific community;
- promoting professional academic relations and collaboration between Russian scientists and foreign countries.
The journal has existed since 2008 as part of the periodical edition "Nauchno-tekhnicheskie vedomosti" (St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University Journal) and has been registered as an independent edition in 2012.
π-Economy comes out 6 times a year. Upon submission, all papers are subject to double-blind peer review. The publication is free of charge; all expenses are covered by the Publisher. The journal is committed to the publication ethics. The editors, reviewers and authors are supposed to follow the ethical guidelines.
The journal accepts and publishes both research papers and scientific reviews in Russian and English.

The authors must submit a licensing agreement signed by all authors. The authors are required to enter into license agreements on the transfer of the rights to use the Work of Intellectual Property to the Publisher. This may be submitted after the article has been accepted for publication
We ensure the accessibility of our content by transferring full-texts and metadata to the National Digital Library and to the Digital Library of Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University. . In the latter, data safety is ensured by data back-up according to their own internal policy. The physical and logical data migration is also provided. Cloud technologies are used.
