Calculated the amount of cross-subsidization in the power industry. An assessment is made of the influence of the complete abolition of the system of cross-subsidies on retail prices for electricity for different groups of consumers. Offers an approach for optimization of price growth for electricity for the population with the purpose to avoid the practice of application of cross-subsidization.
