In the paper is given an approach to the management of components provision for machine building manufacturer based upon international standards and best practices of leading international companies in four steps of a cycle: Plan supplier portfolio, Select and evaluate suppliers, Monitor performance and rank suppliers, Develop suppliers. It is suggested “suppliers’ portfolio” determination and tool for planning the suppliers’ portfolio. The complex expertise methods are used for the proposed method of the machine building manufacturer suppliers’ selection and evaluation. The supplier development methodology consists of six steps and is based on different methods and tools applying of both supplier and machine building manufacturer direct involvement.
