Within the article there is a definition of enterprise development strategy given, its basic elements are distinguished, development strategies are classified by their additional characteristics, the category of strategic area of management and algorithm of development strategy formation are substantiated, efficiency evaluation criteria in terms of development strategy realization depending upon the segment type of enterprise strategic area of management are introduced.
