The present article contains an analysis of problems and perspectives of development of maritime transport network in the Russian sector of Arctic ocean. It is demonstrated that it is crucial for Russia to develop international transports in Northern Sea route. In order to transform the Northern Sea route into an international transport route it is recommended to increase the number of Russian ice-breakers and ti develop transport infrastructure on the Arctic coast.
