The article is devoted to application of self - organizing Kohonen maps in a solution of regions clustering problem. Social and economic indicators are offered as criteria of clustering. On the basis of factor analysis the generalized criteria are formed. Cluster profiles are received. Social and economic cluster interpretation is given.
