In article the comparative analysis of market models of the wholesale market of electric power industry of England and the Wales and the Russian Federation is carried out. Two models of the foreign electropowcr market are compared to the Russian models of the free market - bilateral contracts and auction. The author explains influence of key parametres of market models on behaviour of the prices and competition development in electric power industry sphere. The conclusion is drawn on prospects of introduction of key parametres of English market models in the Russian Federation
