The problems ofthe assessment ofcity development effectiveness are considered. The methodology ofthe assessment ofcity development effectiveness, based on system-dynamic approach, is offered. The main elements ofthe methodology are described in the article. The elaborated methodology allows to work out the adequate management mechanisms ofcity development, directed to raise the living standard ofcity dwellers.
