Development in the Baikal region

The article deals with tourism development around Lake Baikal. The necessity of sparing, socially-responsible, ecological tourism is justified here. Particular attention is paid to the creation of tourist-recreational special economic zones in the Baikal region. We consider the possibility of closing of the Baikal Pulp and Paper Mill. The perspective directions for development of tourism on Lake Baikal are defined in the article.
