Modernization of the Russian economy: specifity of problems and ways of their solution

The paper considers various approaches to the definition of modernization and contains an attempt to make a comprehensive review of the related issues, including the social dimension, also the alleged weaknesses in the current practice of its implementation are listed, and a number of recommendations are made.
