In the article are considered the method of the study of indices with an example The Index of Economic Freedom of The Heritage Foundation in partnership with the Wall Street Journal. The results of using the method are based on real statistics The Index of Economic Freedom during historical period 2008–2013 and The 2012 Legatum Prosperity Index.
