The article analyzes the links between controlling and the concepts of economics of knowledge, intellectual assets, cognitive management. Further the knowledge-based nature of controlling is discussed, and the close relation between controlling and intellectual assets is considered. The article also argues the problems and tasks of controlling in framework of the cognitive management.
