Application possibility in existing Russian economy of the basic economic policies of strategic level, and also degree of fitness to their realization of planned and market economy, including under condition of Russia's accession to the world trade organization is considered and analyzed. By results of the analysis the conclusion is drawn on necessity of joint and balanced use of economic policies in the form of complex economic strategy of development.
