        <p>This article presents the content of extracurricular activity in Higher education institute, its connection with educational and scientific activity. It also reveals the forms, methods and structures that provide its efficient functioning. Extracurricular activity is the main link of integral teaching and educational process, a part of student-centered education. The rational organization and effective management of this sphere of university activity influence the forming and development of traits of character that help students to adapt for the professional activity in and out of the university and to correspond to modern social and economic requirements</p>
